The Excel Function of the month is

AND

Description

Returns TRUE if BOTH arguments are true. See usage below.

Usage

The AND function is great to use, especially if more than one criteria have to be met. Here is a scenario below. Let’s say that a student receives an award only if they have achieved greater than 80% in Maths and Science. You can see how we use an IF function and an AND function together to test if the student did indeed get over 80% for Maths AND Science.

If one of the marks is NOT above 80%, then the student is not eligible for an award.
