I have trying to teach my gr 12’s the difference between 3G and 4G/LTE technology
The text book I use says it is generations of cellular technologies. I think this is incorrect as it is not cellular technologies but rather generations of Internet connections making use of cellular ISP’s.
The reason I say this is cell phones that do not have sim cards cannot use this technology, they have to connect via Wi-Fi etc and this term is also broad enough to imply the upgrade of the technology of the actual cell phone. Eg Samsung S7 and now the new S9, as this is a
I think it should read the generations of cellular Internet technologies.
I know we cannot change it now, but maybe this is a discussion for the future or have I totally missed the point?
Thanks
Sue
