Word of the Week : Blackberry Thumb

Blackberry Thumb is an injury or irritation of the muscles of the thumbs that falls under the RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) category. It is caused by repetitive movements when using smartphones, specifically BlackBerry phones, or other thumb-operated devices.

Some symptoms include pain at the side of the wrist, spasms, tenderness, occasional burning sensations in the hand, and swelling over the thumb side of the wrist, and difficulty gripping with the affected side of the hand.
